Dell'Ugo New Farm
Editorial Review
Delivering a fresh and flavoursome collection of southern Italian dishes, Dell’ Ugo is a great ambassador of this very popular fare. Southern Italy is a mountainous and rocky region and so beef and dairy cattle are not as prevalent as in the north. Pork, however, features quite commonly in residents’ diets and is used in many of the delicacies produced such as pancetta, bacon and sausages. The dishes at Dell’ Ugo are simple and use fresh ingredients with robust flavours that represent the cuisine best suited to the lifestyle and produce of this region. Dell’ Ugo owners Gloria and Giuseppe Robertiello place an emphasis on the traditional preparation of the food combined with a modern finesse.
Diners can begin with fresh breads and olive oil, vintage balsamic or toppings. The antipasti menu is impressive with a choice of four unique dishes, including the gunghetti ripieni con caponata of crumbed and lightly fried button mushrooms filled with pureed caponata and served atop a light gorgonzola cream. The primi piatti menu offers delicious pasta dishes such as the hand-made spaghetti alla marinara with fresh seafood tossed in olive oil, garlic, white wine and a touch of fresh napoletana sauce. The secondo piatti menu sees wonderfully tasty mains such as grilled rack of venison served with duchess potatoes, sweet and sour rhubarb and Marsala juis, and fresh pork and fennel sausages pan-fried on vegetables of the day with a light white wine butter sauce. Finish on an authentic dessert of tiramisu and throw back an espresso – belissimo!

Absolutely amazing! Must say my dining experience at Dell'Ugo was one of the best I've ever had. Have dined at three-michelin star restaurants before and believe the service, wine and food was on par with some of the best. Can't wait to go back again!
