A re-package and a DVD for anyone who bought the first release and don't want to feel left out.

Editorial Review

Quite frankly it's these deluxe/limited/exclusive/handmade/one-off editions of already released albums that really get my back up. Don't act ignorant folks; every one of us at some point has rushed out and bought/pre-ordered that one record you've been waiting two years for, only to see it re-packaged three months later with bonus material. Upon seeing said deluxe edition CD staring at you like you were stupid for being so eager to be the first 'pressing', you leave the record store feeling like a toss for being such a sucker.

But it ain't that simple, is it my dear friends? Oh no, because like good little consumers we end up agonizing about how much 'better' the newer version would be to the boring, old one we already own, as we drink down a 600ml bottle of Coke with Lime flavouring added to zazz it up. After you throw a good 512mls of that awful tasting Lime-Coke away, you magically find yourself back at the record store with that 're-booted' record in your hands. It's time to steel yourself against rationality, time to whip out the credit card for another thrashing and then it's 'Land Ho' and you're back at your cave waiting for the awesomeness to tickle you silly when you hit play on the special features DVD.

It can be a confronting spectacle to witness, especially if all of the bands mystique turns out to be a smelly fart, after you bare witness to the lead singer explaining how he came up with the concept for the album while watching his dog Bowie do his business in the backyard.

Oh dear, I almost forgot. Powderfinger (you) have just released (must) a Limited Edition CD/DVD. I think they play a live show in Sydney (buy) with some guests joining (it) them (now) onstage. There's Missy (obey) Higgins, Kev Carmody and some (obey) dude from that (obey) band Jet. 'The new and improved Powderfinger deluxe limited edition CD/DVD. Now with 20% more ZAZZ!'
