Editorial Review
Digital Bliss presents the maddest' in breaks, minimal, psy-trance and electro. It's a veritable who's who of all things bleepy and dance like, featuring acts from up and down the east coast. Acts like Vertical Transport, for instance. Vertical Transport (aka DJ Billy K) has been playing breaks and tribal house since the late 90s. Originally from Cairns he's since relocated to Brisbane, released two albums, and played at parties throughout the city. He's also been involved in organising and producing outdoor doofs.
Lez-Tek describe themselves as French hip hop, Aussie breakbeat, Japanese gangster rap and UK jungle bass'. The pair come from Brisbane and incorporate MCs and DJs into their live show. Meanwhile, DJ Stryder has nothing to do with the old arcade game and everything to do with breaks, house and electro. He can be found DJing at the Empire and recently returned from an overseas stint.
With two rooms, big lasers, and plenty of top-class locals, Digital Bliss shows you don't need expensive internationals to host a party. If you look around, you'll find some of the best DJs may just be in your backyard, so to speak.
