Editorial Review
As the name implies, Zenbar is a place where the body and mind meet, share a plate of steamed dim sims, a few cocktails and end up in bed together. Yes, many people take yoga classes for years to attain such spiritual enlightenment - they could save themselves the time and come to Zenbar instead. Located in the Post Office Square precinct, Zenbar sports alfresco dining and caters to large groups of diners and drinkers with equal zeal.
The wine list at Zenbar is a stunning affair, combining selections from a range of grape varieties. Our country's finest wine regions all get a look in: from Barossa Valley shiraz, to Margaret River Semillon, the varietals are as diverse as they are surprising. But be warned: you may want to buy by the bottle if you intend to settle in for the evening; the glass prices can work out uncomfortable on the wallet or purse.
Cocktails are a little more suitably priced, with most around the $17 mark. Try a Crouching Tiger - passionfruit and bison grass-infused vodka pressed with passionfruit pulp and lemon grass - for a surprising treat. And for those with a sweet tooth, the Go Go Yabari will please with blended fresh strawberries and chocolate, mixed with Chambord liqueur and Bailey's.
